Agile methods in the development of software and, in particular in the area of software testing, have in recent years developed into a much acclaimed alternative to traditional development processes. However, what does “Agile” testing mean in the day-to-day work of its many followers? Which challenges, principles and methods characterize Agile testing projects, and which problems do they face?
Díaz & Hilterscheid organized the Agile Testing Days in Berlin for the first time in 2009, in order to discuss with around two hundred software developers, architects, designers and testers from all over Europe their specific project experiences. The three-day conference on the general theme of “Best Practice” experiences was flanked by tutorials given by outstanding speakers from the international Agile community.
